This month's issue of “Secrets To Their Success” features…
- Julie S., who turned a corporate downsizing into a brand-new start when she launched her travel-themed scrapbooking supply website in 2002. Now, just six years later, she's a small business expert running a $2 million dollar niche empire!
- Lorinda V. — a born entrepreneur who has been selling on the Web since she was just 21 — relaunched her unique shoe website and saw $160,000 walk into her bank account in just TWO MONTHS!
- And IMC's revamp of Dr. Don's expert eBook site… a site that needed some expert help to take a solid bite out of its promising niche market.
Each and every month “Secrets To Their Success” features 2 inspirational web business success stories and one website makeover from which you can learn EXACTLY how these unlikely Internet entrepreneurs do it as well as “steal” their strategies and duplicate their success!”
An STTS subscription also gives you a chance to win $5,000+ in FREE consulting — just by entering your name and email address! Once each month, they draw the name of one lucky member who gets their web site or business plan critiqued by the Internet Marketing Center team.

When you mentioned scrapbooking, It reminds me on Scrapbook, very good FFox extension for saving pages (and parts of them) for later reading.

Alvaro,
Yes, I see the Amazon ads for cameras, candy, walnut cutlery sets and the odd truck cover in between. From my estimates of his traffic, it is impossible he earns over 200k pa. especially considering the low comm Amazon pays out.
If the truck covers are paying so well, why is it so difficult to get to his ads, though? He could be earning much more
I would love to hear that I’m wrong and that I must rethink my monetization strategies..

You can sell any product through amazon. I have used it to sell books and backpacks. This guy uses it sell his truck covers
Denny says
Hi Rosalind,
I visited the site recommended by in the video by Derek Gehl : http://www.truck-bed-covers.com that apparently turns over 800k, resulting in 200k in commissions from sales of truck covers. I cannot see anywhere where he sells covers. Income seems to be earned from Adsense and (poor paying) Amazon affiliations. I doubt that income is derived from those sources.
Did I get the site URL wrong, overlook where he sells the truck covers?
This makes me question the validity of Gehl’s material.

Hi Elliot
I believe that they may make a small number of previous stories and reviews available… but I know that it’s not everything since the beginning. I’ll try and check that out with the IMC people for you on Monday.
Cheers,
Ros

Thanks for your reply Ros,
If I were to sign up would I get access to previous case studies they’ve made available to members?

Hi Ros…I really enjoy reading your articles, even though at this stage, I can’t fully
utilize some of the valuable information you give, but that’s ok. Someday.
Regarding these subscriptions, I love to read them too. My experience though with some of the ones I had subscribed to, was that you still have to spend more and get in contact with yet umpteen other parties to find out the “big secret to the success.”
So disappointing, and expensive. But that was the way they made the money
of course, and I understand that. How does one weed them out, is what I would
like to know.

I may have to go subscribe – I recently began a new Digital Scrapbooking blog, so I could use the encouragement on the scrapbooking topic!

Hi Elliot,
I do have a subscription to STTS. I think the motivational value of reading about people who are highly successful in their online businesses is worth much more to helping you grow your own business than the 17 bucks they charge for their monthly membership.
Cheers,
Ros

I would love to read those kind of stories, I just don’t want to pay that much money for them! Do you subscribe to them Rosalind?
