“the book that got me started in this business…”

Posted on 08 September 2007 by Rosalind Gardner

Hi Ros,

Thank you for all the valuable information that you keep sharing on your blog and through your Super Affiliate Handbook. That’s the book that got me started in this business.

My name is Nick Dalton. I was the technical architect behind some rather large automotive websites here in the US: www.toyota.com, www.lexus.com, www.nissanusa.com, www.infiniti.com, www.mazdausa.com, to name a few. Recently I’ve turned my attention from these multi-million dollar projects with year-long time lines, to the faster pace of Internet marketing, where projects go from an idea to finished product in a few short weeks…

Best Regards,

“Rosalind, your Latest Newsletter blew me away!”

Posted on 14 August 2007 by Rosalind Gardner

Rosalind,

First of all let me tell you how much I enjoy your Net Profits Today Ezine. I also bought your e-book (Super Affiliate Handbook) a while back which kick started me to build my own web site. Although I have extensive retail experience in the offline world, your tips and ideas helped integrate my skills into the online world where I am still a definite newbie but actually doing some pretty good business!

Your latest newsletter about data feeds and the software program WebMerge was really interesting. And talk about timely! I have downloaded the demo to take it for a test drive but something tells me that it will save me days of work, especially for piece by piece product lines that I market through affiliate programs.

I have subscribed to a lot of newsletters, many of which I have unsubscribed from because they have been hard sell with no added value. My subscription to your newsletter is staying—that’s for sure! I always learn a nugget or two from you. I just wanted to pass that on because I happen to know that working in the cyber world, feedback is very different than dealing with everyday customers. So you get my kudo this month for sure!

Thanks again,
Mike Lord

“I purchased the Super Affiliate Handbook from Barnes and Noble, I love it…”

Posted on 14 July 2007 by Rosalind Gardner

Hello Mrs. Gardner:

I do not know of another way to get in touch with you so I am doing it through your site. I just wanted to THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH for the great book you have written.

I purchased the Super Affiliate Handbook from Barnes and Noble, I love it. I am working on my site, which is a jewelry directory. This might not be the greatest site on the web yet, but it is my first site, and I’ve been working on it with your help.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that you have been an inspiration for me and that I really appreciate your work. Thank you for your help and keep those great books coming.

“Reading the Super Affiliate Handbook was just the motivation we needed…”

Posted on 18 January 2007 by Rosalind Gardner

Hi Rosalind,

Thanks so much for replying! I didn’t expect one to be truthful, as I am sure you are very busy. I’m rather flattered that you would consider doing a profile of us.

Our site is only 3 months old. In our first month, we made just a little over $500 US in profits after advertising expenses etc. Dec and Jan were excellent months where we doubled our sales and profits. Our subscriber list has shot from nothing to over 1000 virtually overnight. We have hired a programmer friend to take our site to the next level with a fully functional database driven site which will be a lot more interactive for our customers. We expect that to be ready and working in March.

As a former retailer (senior exec at The Bay) in the real world, one thing I knew for sure: I did not want to handle inventory of any kind. For me, this site was an experiment. Could I generate enough interest investing nothing in product and just market other peoples merchandise? What I and my partner, David, have found is that the demand for our site and its products is huge. We get many emails telling us how much people love our site and how they feel they “trust us”.

We have tried to be patient and take the process one step at a time. learning along the way and trying to develop good relationships with our affiliates. Many of them have taken the time to give us their nuggets about the business just for the asking. But most of all, this has turned out to be a lot of fun. We expect that sales will level out in the area of $4000-5000US in commissions per month by mid-summer. While this is peanuts for some people, it’s rewarding for us and it has cost us virtually nothing except some time and doing something we love.

Periodically, I go back to your e-book and look for new information. I find I always miss something and find something new again on a re-read. I try to study the newsletters we subscribe to for information about how we can do things smarter. The question I always seem to be asking is: could we use this on our site and what impact would it have for making it a better site for our customers? By trying to do things for our customers first, we have been getting the sales we need. For example, we decided up front not to do pop-ups on our our site when many of the marketing gurus were yelling about how effective they were. But they are also a great way to tick off your customers. And where are pop-ups today? Trash can!

I liked your approach to doing business from the start. Informative and soft sell. Maybe it’s a Canadian thing. LOL

Reading the Super Affiliate Handbook was just the motivation we needed to get us moving and doing something. While you made it sound easy, you were realistic about the work involved and the potential payoffs.

We hope to develop another couple of sites in different areas. Our goal is to have about 12 to 15,000US in commissions coming in every month. If it takes us a year or two to get there, so be it. In the meantime we’re having fun.

We’d be lying if we said that this is not a lot of work. It’s almost as much work as looking after our mentally challenged foster son who has lived with us for the past 9 years. We didn’t give up on him 9 years ago when everyone else did and he now has a great life and has developed many skills that the so-called experts said were beyond his ability. We are using the same determination on our web ventures. Now we’re the ones learning new skills!

Another thing we know is, if we don’t try, then nothing will happen. To be honest we are pleased with what we’ve learned and where we’re going. I find that there is something new to learn everyday. That in itself is a huge motivator for me.

I’m sorry it’s not a rag to riches story, but it’ s a practical one that I believe anyone can do. The big thing is “just do it!” Your E-book is what really got us started and we have you to thank for that.

Thanks, Rosalind. It means a lot to both of us.

“I wanted to send you my little success story…”

Posted on 14 December 2006 by Rosalind Gardner

I wanted to send you my little success story. I am so happy!!!!

I read your ebook over Thanksgiving while we were renting a house in Bend, Oregon. We went to visit friends and spent the week together. I read your book while they went skiing.

I then really started working my existing site that was perhaps bringing in $100-150 per month from an ebook I wrote years ago. I started reworking the site in February and added one other small site: Become-a-designer.com with SEO Website Builder. Total time it took was about 20 hours to add Google AdSense, a store, rewrite the front page, add some articles with Article Equilizer and get a few affiliate links up. Because of my regular business we were busy this spring and I really didn’t have time to work on the site in March, April or May. I have answered emails and added link partners but that is it!

Well in February I increased my intake to $300. March I went to $603, April I was $767 and so far in May I am $1140.22 at the time of this writing. I still have one more day in the month to bring it to the $1200 level. To get to $1000 was amazing and I thought things would die off over the weekend with the US holiday and all but I was shocked, Sunday was my best day!

NOW I need to build more and turn it into more and more and more. All the years I spent trying to kill the design site it never wanted to die. I feel now that the reason it would not go away is because it had to show me affiliate marketing. I am sold, my husband is sold, I just need the hours to keep building.

Thank you for your material!

“Today, I’m doing what I love to do…”

Posted on 14 April 2006 by Rosalind Gardner

Three years ago, one of the very first online marketing books I started with was Rosalind Gardner’s Super Affiliate Handbook - and I haven’t looked back.

I started affiliate marketing while I was teaching 6th grade and 2 years later, I was finally able to quit my teaching job. Today, I’m doing what I love to do - thanks to Rosalind’s incredible affiliate marketing system.

“I gave notice to my day job last week…”

Posted on 26 January 2006 by Rosalind Gardner

I gave notice to my day job last week - I’ve more than replaced my full time income with affiliate income and other online projects.

I’ve been laughing with joy everytime someone asks me about it! LOL! It’s so cool to know that I’m on my way to being free from set office hours, driving to work, being stuck in town all the time… it’s going to rock!

Rosalind, your ebook was the first information product I ever bought. You put me on the path and I thank you.

“You’ve inspired me to write my own ebook……”

Posted on 27 July 2004 by Rosalind Gardner

Hi Rosalind,

My name is Rita Cass (well, it’s actually Anja Rita Cass, but I go by my middle name because people find it easier to pronounce).

I just wanted to say thank you! Your Super Affiliate Handbook (and other books such as Google Cash etc by others), have taught me many genuine ways to make money online.

But that’s not all… I managed to get to a point where I myself decided to also write an ebook about my own story. This was inspired by you and I would like to thank you for giving me motivation to keep going. My book is called “How I Make $7,116 Per Month Using 5 Simple Internet Plans“.

I listed with Clickbank yesterday and in less than an hour I’d already sold my first copy. Yay!!!! … And on Friday it will be listed in the Marketplace. I can’t wait.

Thanks again for your inspiring book and newsletters! I guess in a way you’re my virtual mentor!!

Best regards and kindest thanks,
Rita Cass
