You know how familiarity works on the ‘Net. Certain folks come up on your radar and suddenly you start to notice their names everwhere. You like what they have to say or the way they do business, you may promote their products, and ultimately, they become part of your regular ‘picture'.
So, although I don't know her personally, I was saddened to learn that Sylvie Charrier (author of In Your PJ's and recently married to Michel Fortin the famous copywriter) was diagnosed with breast cancer and subsequently underwent a mastectomy in September.
Here's the thing. Rather than let this get the better of them, both Sylvie and Michel are using the experience to help others via their blogs.
Sylvie's following message really struck me as important lesson for all of us…
Actually, in hindsight, it’s probably my inability to just stop and breathe for a while that caused my body to go out of whack like this. If I could do it over again, I would have taken more time to just relax over the years.
Please read the rest of Sylvie's post and through her site. The lessons she learns and has chosen to share are inspirational – to say the least – and I applaud this very courageous woman. Heed her advice and support the cure.
Note: October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Join the cause and promote products that help raise funds for a cure. CollectiblesToday.com is just one company that is offering groups of products in which a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each figurine will be donated to the fight against breast cancer. They are a CJ.com merchant.
