I GTalk with Anik and have always known that he couldn't spell… well, yesterday he proved it publicly. \ud83d\ude42 He officially changed their company name from Affiliate Classroom to Lurn, Inc. Spelling aside, smart move, Anik! The new name stands out and no more pigeonholes!!<\/p>\n

Of course, that won't affect existing clients \/ students, as Lurn, Inc. is the ‘umbrella' for AffiliateClassroom<\/a> and their other ‘lurning' opportunities.<\/p>\n

E-learning Content and Technology Provider Takes on a New Name to Encompass Expanded Offering and Vision College Park, MD \u00e2\u20ac\u201cMarch 5th, 2009.<\/p>\n

Affiliate Classroom, a leading publisher of educational tools for the interactive advertising industry, has changed its name to Lurn, Inc. The change comes as the company embarks on plans to expand offerings and broaden its vision. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153We originally set out to provide training and best practices for affiliates. The name Affiliate Classroom made perfect sense,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said founder and CEO Anik Singal. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153But in late 2008 as our executive team developed our strategic vision for the next two years, we felt limited by the name.<\/p>\n

What we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re able to offer now is beyond simple how-to information for affiliates. Changing our name is strategically liberating.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n

Along with new interactive marketing courses, in 2009 the company will add a comprehensive e-learning delivery and membership management platform to its offerings. This technology will offer third-parties the ability to launch and manage their own training and membership-based coaching and consulting package.<\/p>\n

The company will continue using the name \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Affiliate Classroom\u00e2\u20ac\u009d to brand its online affiliate training course. Affiliate Classroom is currently undergoing a content and technological revision and will be re-introduced to the market in mid-2009.<\/p>\n

Singal added, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been getting a lot of compliments on the new name. We think that it highlights our fun personality, while staying true to our vision of empowering our students to reach their goals through technology and education.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n
