Widely used for lead generation purposes…
A squeeze page, also known as a ‘name squeeze page' is a landing page specifically created to solicit name and email addresses from site visitors. Many webmasters collect only email addresses.
The main purpose of a squeeze page is to build a mailing list with the names and addresses collected.

Once a visitor supplies their name and email address, or ‘opts-in', they are put into an autoresponder sequence or series that delivers messages at pre-programmed intervals.
Some webmasters require the visitor to respond to a confirmation email prior to adding their name to the list.
Incentives such as free product samples, email courses, reports and ebooks are often used to increase the rate at which visitors opt-in to the mailing list.
Most squeeze pages have no external links to another page or website, thus forcing the visitor to either opt-in, back out of the site or close the window completely.
As most marketers consider their mailing lists their most important business asset, squeeze pages are widely used for lead generation purposes.
