So, the other day I receive the following comment on my blog from an affiliate manager asking me to participate in a launch.

Hi Netprofitstoday.com owner,
My name is ____ and I am ____'s
affiliate manager for his _____ Formula.
(www.____.com)___ told me to contact you personally to see
if we can develop a joint venture business
relationship together…I understand you have a high-traffic site in
the biz opp niche. We have a product that converts VERY WELL
for biz opp traffic. In fact, we have one affiliate that logged
over 100 sales in 3 days…We were also able to drive 100+ sales
to ONE of our jv partners with 2 emails.Let me know if you’d like to work with us.
I have a few ideas on how we can help each
other increase the value for our visitors,
your customers and both our bottom lines.Regards,

HELLO?
Contact me ‘personally'?
Then why did this affiliate manager (I use the term loosely) write to “Netprofitstoday.com owner“???? My name is Rosalind, which is really easy to figure out if you spend all of 1 second reading this blog.
No real affiliate manager would post a jv request as a comment on my blog under a totally irrelevant post, when my contact (Support Desk) information is posted on every page of this site.

Really… good for you. For WHAT product? Where can I look at it? How do I sign up as an affiliate IF I like it?

Good for him or her!!! For all I know, you're selling it for 99 cents and they earned 10% commission for a grand total of $10.00.
Yee-freakin-HA!
Sheesh.
C'mon guys, spend a little time working with those affiliate managers and train them how to approach real JV prospects properly… you're losing money.
