With Canada Day on July 1st and Independence Day on the 4th, I can only hope that means most folks in both countries are recognizing and celebrating their good fortune to live in independent, democratic nations this week, because we are truly very fortunate.
Hardly a week goes by that I don't think of how very lucky I am simply to have been born in a place like Canada, where we are at liberty to live as we choose with only the most modest constraints to ensure that everyone enjoys the same freedoms.
Personal freedom is the great thing accorded to us, yet financial freedom is still elusive for many in our respective countries.
If you're frustrated by a lack of financial independence, I invite you to read “Declare Your Own Independence Day“, in which I discuss the true meaning of financial independence and a number of factors that can thwart your efforts to achieve it.
Happy Independence Day!
I wish Canadian people a very happy independence day, and i hope that they enjoy the day and pray for the souls of great soldiers and others who shed their life for their country.
Couldn’t agree with you more Rosalind! We usually celebrate both Holidays in our household as I’m Canadian and my husband is American. We’ve lived in both countries, though we call Canada home now. We enjoyed Canada Day a little differently this year. The Canadian Stage Company hosted a wonderful family day in Toronto’s High Park featuring live music (the fantastic Roaring Girl Cabaret) crafts, and back stage tours of the outdoor stage production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest. The play itself was performed later in the evening.
I came home to an email from a client requesting additional services and good news in my Paypal account. I am very thankful for the freedom we enjoy to pursue our businesses and desired quality of life.
I too wish everyone much happiness this Holiday!
I wish Happy Independence Day to all of Canada people.
“Insider Secrets to Marketing your Business on the Internet – 2009 version”
What is the difference between the Cory Rudl version 2004 and the 2009 version?
I have the 2004 version purchased early 2005 in binder format.
Any idea why Derek Gehl is no longer with IMC.
Regards
Hi Stephen,
Good questions! The 2009 version of Insider Secrets to Marketing your Business on the Internet is totally presented online, so you never need to upgrade to the latest version — they’ll just keep updating the site with new information.
And here’s a tidbit about Derek’s retirement.

I wish all the citizens of Canada that they enjoy this independence and they be together and be happy for every. I also request them to be united and stay in peace and harmony.
Whoa. I always love going to the Canada Day celebration/parade in Dawson City up in the Yukon. They always make a big fuss over us Yanks as well. FUN! I’ve been there twice. I’ve flown up a couple of time in private aircraft from ANC, then driven over the “Top of the World” Highway from Tok once. Great fun! I’ve left several shekels at Diamond Tooth Gertie’s, the state-run casino.
Marky,
Oooo…. lucky you! I was planning to drive the Dempster this summer but recent family events now make that rather impossible. 🙁 Still hoping to make it as far as Whitehorse sometime in late August though. 🙂
Cheers,
Ros
I am going to celebrate Canada Day by….. I don’t really know, I am American. So I don’t know what to do on Canada Day. My friend threw snowballs out the fireworks!
