After my recent debacle with YouTube in which they took down some of my most informative videos, I decided to remake my “How Affiliate Marketing Works” video.
The newest version demonstrates how I make money from my personal blog at RosalindGardner.me and covers blog content, finding and installing your affiliate links.
Of course, to learn all about how affiliate marketing works, get the Super Affiliate Handbook – the affiliate marketing industry's standard training manual OR join my multi-media affiliate coaching membership site at Affiliate Blogger PRO.

Cheers,
Rosalind is a great website marketing you have. Much interesting information on all aspects of online marketing.
I put it in my bookmark. Bravo and congratulations.
Thanks, Phil!
Thank you for that very useful video. I am relatively new to affiliate marketing and have trouble with codes etc. but you have showed me how simple it is. Very informative video.
I’m glad you found the video helpful, Lynn. Best of success in your affiliate marketing adventures!
just another thing rosalind, the ad buttons on the side of your webpages are screwed up when I click them. Would hat to see you miss out on any commissions?
Thanks for letting me know! I’ll fix that!
You know, I’ve been using Commission Junction for 3 years now, and I’ve always selected the first bit of code at the top that has the “Buy” button. Never even considered clicking on code that didn’t have that; how interesting!
Hey Mitch,
Guess we all learn something new every day, eh? ๐
Hello Rosalind,
What a great video and explanation of affiliate marketing. It really is that simple, but sometimes we make it more difficult by the lack of understanding exactly how it all works.
Thanks,
Sandy
Hi Sandy,
Thanks for sharing. I’m glad you liked it.
Ahhh….So that how it works. Ok I am being a big facetious cause I have been doing the exact same thing for years. And if I hadn’t bought your “super affiliate marketing handbook” I would still be trying to figure it out.
Good Stuff Rosalind.
Paul
Thanks for the plug, Paul! ๐
Ros,
After you searched for sling bag in Commission Junction, you received several results. They looked similar. Why did you pick the one you did?
Hi Andy,
Good spotting – there were indeed a whole list of Sling bags. I just chose the one that was the same color as the one that I have myself. ๐
Cheers,
Ros
Great vid ros……………im just starting out with affiliate marketing……..so far so good, but i know it can be better.
Thanks, Mark!
Did they ever respond to your letter or otherwise give you further explanation for WHY they found your original video in violation?
Hi CanadaBanana,
Unfortunately, no. They neither responded, nor ever gave an appropriate reason for the removal. They couldn’t, as there was no good reason. All I can assume is that someone reported it as such and they took their word for it. Apparently innocent until proven guilty isn’t a YouTube ideal.
Cheers,
Ros
Love your new video. Some times it’s very hard to explain what affiliate marketing is and by showing your examples it makes it much easier to grasp it.
I am hearing that Google prefers to have rel=”nofollow” on all affiliate links. However it seems as though once I did that to my link, my sales tanked.
Do you like to use the rel=”nofollow” or do you think that it’s best to leave affiliate links as is?
Thanks!
Roz, how many bags did you sell so far? Can we see the check?
Cheers!
Good question, Florence. I’ll have to check. ๐
