I’m just back from my first trip to Hawaii – most of which was spent in Internet-free zones, and upon checking my Gmail for the first time in nearly 3 weeks – I discover Google Buzz, Google’s mashup of Facebook and Twitter.
I’ve already read some comments in which folks are complaining that they can’t maintain yet another social network, but what I’ve seen so far, there’s nothing to maintain.
Just a few clicks to connect your Flickr, Picasa, Google Reader, and/or Twitter accounts, as well as sites that are already linked to your Google account.
Ergo, I hit “Okay” and all my recent pics on Flickr and posts were automatically imported into my Buzz stream.
It also automatically followed the friends to whom I’m already connected through Gmail, most of whom were already following me.
Considering I use Google’s services extensively, I think that Google Buzz will become the ‘easier’ way of staying current with friends, family and business associates who also use Gmail — and whom wouldn’t that be?
Even my 95 year old mom has a Gmail account.
Note: Google Buzz will not connect with your Facebook account.

Google Buzz will NOT connect to your facebook account because they are in fierce competition with facebooks advertising program.
The last thing they want is to advertising or promote facebook period.

Hi Rosalind,
A friend just sent me a copy of your ebook and I look forward to reading it. Nice to hear of your successes! Congrats! Very inspiring.
I have about 100 sites monetized with many more planned. We are mainly using Amazon’s astores but are looking to increase our commissions using other affiliates soon.
I live in your town. I would love to have coffee with you.
Let me know.
Smiles,
Jo
