Wow, another to look forward event for 2009! The tickets a bit pricey but am sure it will be well worth it.
Best of luck on your speaking engagements Rosalind!
Thanks kindly, Franck. Startin’ to get the jitters just about now but trust I’ll live through yet another one. Well, let’s hope anyway.
Cheers,
Ros
Hey Ros,
I wish I could have made ASW this year. Truth be told, I’ve spent the last 12 months trying to figure out my place in affiliate marketing. So I’m not ready for the Summit quite yet.
My goal is to make ASW 2010 though. By that time I will have earned it.
Greg
Hi Ros,
I am not able to attend the summit as I don’t even have a web site yet. I do however live here in Las Vegas and work for the parent co. that owns Rio, which is Harrah’s Entertainment. If you need anything while you are here I am just an email away. Please feel free to let me know. Looking forward to finishing your book so I can be on my way to a future summit.
Best to you I am sure you will do just fine, just talk as you write and all will be well.
Sincerely,
Denise
Hi Ros,
Sorry I missed it, especially a chance to visit…. but I was on Mike Filsaime’s marketers gone wild cruise. I understand that my son Joe got to meet you. Hopefully we can get together some time this coming year…
Frank,
DEFINITELY next time.
Either that or you and Colin are coming up here for a weekend this summer which would actually be more fun.
Cheers,
Ros
Hey Frank & Ros,
I think hangin’ out at Ros’ place chatting IM stuff would be fun…
And best of all Frank, we could take you on our
“Play a Round of Golf, Whether we like it or not…” Golf game
No… Ros and I don’t really golf but for some strange reason we keep chasing hunting for little white balls in ponds… behind trees…and of course not keeping score is always a fun way to get under Ed’s skin
Ros and Colin, nice meeting both of you at Affiliate Summit West. I mention both of you in Part 2 of my review of the Summit at my blog on best practices.
Hi Ros,
Is there a conference other than Affiliate Summit where all the internet marketing gurus get together to pitch their products – e.g. Ros Gardner, Derek Gehl(retired now), Yanik Silver, Joe Vitale etc etc.
Hello Zee,
One of the main reasons I regularly attend and speak at Affiliate Summit is because it ISN’T a “pitch-fest”.
But there’s no shortage of pitch-fests to attend if that’s what you’re looking for. Just search for the IM guru’s name plus the word ‘speaking’ or ‘seminar’ and I’m sure you’ll be able to come up with a few.
Cheers,
Ros
Ros,
Do you recommend the Affiliate Summit for a beginner?
By not having a website yet or knowing what niche I want to pursue, would I be waisting money at this point?
My thoughts were that it may open ideas that I haven’t thought of or channels that I didn’t know about.
Also, if you do recommend going. Which pass level would be best for a first time beginner?
Thanks,
John
Hi John,
Good question, and I’m glad that you asked it!
Affiliate Summit is a great conference, but I think it would be overwhelming for a complete newbie. You need to get some experience under your belt first – find your niche, start your blog (website) and start working with some affiliate programs. That way you’ll figure out what questions you want answers to from the conference. You’ll also be able to meet with representatives of the affiliate programs that you are promoting.
So, yes… wait until you are working as an affiliate before splurging on that ticket and when you do, get the full conference pass.
I hope that helps!
Cheers,
Ros
hello, I didn’t know where to contact you but your web design layout looked rearranged on opera and firefox. Anyways, i just suscribd to your rss.
Hi Grisham,
Thanks for getting in touch. Just wondering if you could be more specific about what you mean by ‘rearranged’. I have a bad habit of tweaking errors INTO my themes.
Cheers,
Ros
